What happens if you meet the person you're meant to be with and you don't know it, or you're not sure? What if you meet that person and it's just the wrong time and by the time it's right they're gone? Does that mean you've lost your chance, lost the person you were meant to be with or does that mean they were never the person for you in the first place?

"the one person you were meant to be with" is a myth. (or, in your case, a mythter.)
It's all about the person you are meant to be - the rest is just frosting and often distracts or detracts from the cake it is merely supposed to be decorating.
You don't need frosting - but damn, it's sweet.
