I just finished reading Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl. I really enjoyed it, her writing style is casual and easy to identify with. Her life has been so eventful but her book makes it all feel so normal while still keeping it interesting. I look forward to getting her second book Comfort Me With Apples. In the mean time I'm thinking about eating these:
Artpark Brownies
2/3 cup butter
5 oz unsweetened best quality French Chocolate
2 tsp Vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup sifted flour
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Melt butter and chocolate together.
Beat eggs and salt in mixer, add sugar and beat at high speed for about 10mins, mixture should be white.
Add chocolate and butter to mixture and beat at low speed until mixed. Add flour and combine quickly until there are no white streaks.
Pour into pan and put in oven. Turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake for 40mins.
Brownies should be fudgy so don't overbake.
